Online Book Library in Gurgaon

I'm absolutely delighted by this new find! If you're on the lookout for a good neighborhood library and not having much luck (the good old musty smelling glass cabinet filled library days have gone away somewhere, haven't they?), you might want to check out Friends of Books. They're an online lending library operating in Delhi and NCR. They have a pretty decent collection, which seems to be growing fast.

It's very easy to set up your account and choose from a variety of plans based on your reading habits. Once you have that done, you just browse through their collection and start adding books to your "Bookshelf." Within two days, you'll have someone coming to your house and delivering the books right to you. And the best part is that you don't have to use your credit card to pay. They'll pick up a cheque or cash from you when they come to deliver the books. Oh, and there's no due date for returning books and no late payment fee, which really takes the pressure off!

I've only tried them out for a month - which means one book delivery has been done so far. I'm quite satisfied...they didn't show up in two days as promised, but they did call to tell me when they'll come with the books, which I thought was quite professional. Also, the books were in great condition, and though this thing can prove to be a little expensive, the convenience of getting new books delivered and picked up from home totally makes the minor additional expense worth it.

Neat .. like this tip very much .. thx will try it out .. Have you found a good DVD library too .. where you can get original DVDs .. NOT copies or pirated stuff .. My house is looking like a DVD garage .. need to stop buying every movie I wish to watch at home [which is usually because they ain't coming to a theater near you]

Sadly, I haven't found a good DVD library so far and I would really love to! Please let me know if you're successful. There are some small ones around every colony but they're full of pirated stuff.
